                                    Jacques Hans MOUEN NSANGUE AKWA
is No. 1 in                                         Table of the Order. He immediately begins a crusade for                                               convince Cameroonian architecture students to return                                                   in Cameroon to build their country upon graduation.

This is how, on each of his trips to Europe, he brings them together around round tables during which he advises them and guides them towards their career projects.
He thus created an esprit de corps, a new brotherhood: The first Order of Architects of Eastern Cameroon which governed the profession from 1958 to 1972.

In 1975, theNational Order of Architects of Cameroon comes into being., governed by the

                   LAW N°75/12 OF DECEMBER 08, 1975

For 20 years, Jacques  MOUEN NSANGUE AKWA will be President, defending the rights of the architect and imposing the rules and ethics of professional practices in construction in Cameroon and paying the contributions of most registered members. There weren't many of them, certainly, but they were  more to ensure the impetus generated by the creation of this brand new Professional Order, than to put the financial question at the forefront of the process of soliciting a professional spirit.
Jacques MOUEN NSANGUE AKWA thus put ONAC on the rails of the future of the exercise of the architectural profession in Cameroon.

His pioneering role did not stop in Cameroon, he was also behind the creation of theUAA, the Union of Architects of Africa. He brought together dynamic African architects around him who were aware of the interest in forming an international group in order to share cross-African experiences. Jacques NSANGUE AKWA also sat at the table of theIUA. The International Union of Architects.

The Founding Architects

The first architects listed on the list each, in their own way, contributed to consolidating the work of creating the Order undertaken by Jacques Nsangué Akwa. Brother Armand Salomon will benefit from an exemption which allowed him to be included in the list, being a foreign architect. His great involvement in structuring projects in Cameroon earned him this particular gratification.
